Berta is an Amazon River Dolphin that helped Barnacles find his Octo-Compass with her special whistles and echolocation when he and the other Octonauts were separated in the Amazon river by a tidal bore (a tidal wave from the ocean that hit the river) in the episode The Amazon Adventure. She also aided him in finding the rest of the crew and rescuing a family of capybaras from hungry anacondas. She makes a second appearance in the Above and Beyond Season 3 episode, "The Flooded Forest".
