Octonauts Wiki

The Burmese Python is a type of giant constrictor snake that the Octonauts discovered in The Great Swamp Search. The Burmese Python was an invasive species in the Everglades and was the last of the invasive species to be found in The Great Swamp Search. She was considered the "Mystery Creature" because Ranger Marsh at first had no idea what she was, with the only known detail coming from rumours from the other creatures in the Everglades, about how big she was.

When Dashi, Shellington, and Tunip discovered her skin she had shed with a stinky snake musk smell, Ranger Marsh was able to identify her species and gender, and Tweak was able to find her nest and eggs. When she found the crew around her nest, she almost threatened to eat them. But when lightning struck near them and began a fire, the Octonauts promised to get her and her family out safely if she would promise not to eat them. She even helped Tweak save her dad when he was trapped in the mud while saving one of her hatchlings. Once they were safe and the fires were out, the baby pythons all hissed and waved goodbye to Ranger Marsh and were brought home by the Octonauts.

The Burmese Python can eat anything that can fit into their mouths, and they can open their mouths very wide. Baby pythons like to stay inside their eggshells for a few days after hatching. Mothers are very protective of their nest and young.

She was the only Invasive Species who did not appear in The Great Swamp Search's follow up episode Above and Beyond: The Monitor Lizards. Where Marsh checks in on the Invasive Species to see how they're all doing, now that they're back where they belong. However, her image can be seen on Marsh's clipboard, indicating she and her babies are doing fine in their old home.
