Coelacanths are a prehistoric species of marine fish that lived in the oceans since the Devonian period.
In the episode, they are portrayed as a large blueish-gray fish with blue and light gray spots on its side and blue and light gray spots on the dorsal fins. On the pectoral fins, they have dark blue semi-circles on the bottom. This Coelacanth hid a fossilized Coelacanth so the Octonauts would hopefully lose interest and leave.
