Dina is a cute sardine who may be small, but she has a big personality. Like Kwazii, she is a daredevil, completely fearless, loves doing stunts, and knows that being loyal to a friend is more important than anything else, even if insisted to do something else otherwise. Since Kwazii protected her from a shark when she got separated from her school, she did the same and looked after him when he got trapped in an old fish net on a shipwreck. she knows that sticking together is very important, especially when there is safety in numbers, which is why she lives in a large school.

Dina is a sardine that has shiny silver scales and is very fast. Like all other sardines, Dina has a white head, turquoise fins that have a sort of turquoise-beige color, and a little pattern of small, dark blue dots running along the middle of her sides.

- Sardines and other fish do not actually burp or fart.
- All sardines stay in large schools in real life so they can look after each other and stay safe.
- Like the female orca from The Orcas who called the crew a pod, Dina calls the Octonauts a school, both due to how everyone looks after each other.
