Halibeet does not appear in the TV series; he is exclusive to the Octonauts books. His appearance and species is stated by Meomi as half-beetroot & half-halibut in a Vegimal poster found in one of their Octonauts Books: The Octonauts Explore The Great Big Ocean.

According to the official Meomi Vegimal guide in their book: The Octonauts Explore The Great Big Ocean, Halibeet is half-beetroot and half-halibut. He has a pink-upper body and a leafy stem on his head, accurately portraying a beetroot.
Trivia[]
- He has been previously confused to be another blue Vegimal in the show by many, but Meomi, the creators of Octonauts, confirm his appearance to be pink in one of their Octonauts books.
- The blue Vegimal he was previously mistaken for is actually unnamed, as seen in a production image below where they are labelled as "VegimalBlue."
