The hammerhead siblings are a school of shark pups seen in "The Hammerhead Sharks". While Shellington observes them in a lagoon, a trio of the pups, consisting of two brothers and a sister, think the Gup-D is a stingray, which is one of their favorite foods, and they try to eat it. When night falls, the trio splits up and goes off to hunt for food as they are most active during this time. Shellington tries to follow them, but ends up crashing the Gup in the process and losing the shark siblings. Peso finds the first pup (one of the brothers) sniffing for stingrays in the sand who ends up getting stinger barbs stuck in him. As Peso removes the barbs, the brother pup starts swimming fast, making the barb removal take a little longer. Kwazii finds the second pup (the sister) trying to catch an octopus who gets squirted by ink and tangled in its tentacles. Kwazii scares off the octopus with the Gup-B's tiger shark mode, which also accidentally scares the sister pup. Captain Barnacles and Shellington find the third pup (the second brother) with his head stuck in some rocks while he was trying to catch a crab. Barnacles calls for Peso and Kwazii to back them up and they and the brother and sister hammerheads follow them. While the Octonauts are trying to get his head unstuck, one of the siblings spots a Great White Shark behind them and he tries to catch them. They then scare it away by triggering the stingrays under the sand. After freeing the third pup, the crew follows the pups to their destination, a sea mount where they rest during the day when they don't hunt. They bid farewell to the Octonauts, thank them for all their help, and swim up the mount.

- Hammerhead sharks have been recorded to have attacked people, but it's pretty rare, and there were no recorded fatalities. For the most part, these sharks are fairly friendly.
