The Lab is one of the Octopod's main areas. It seems to work as Shellington's work room and where he sleeps, too, and he spends most of his time there, investigating samples of things from the ocean. The walls are light-green and the floor is yellow. In the Lab there's a long table (which can sometimes become quite chaotic) with Shellington's microscope and lots of test tubes. As seen in The Octonauts and the Ring of Fire, Shellington has a bed in the lab which can fold in and out. The Vegimals were born in his lab in an incubating machine there. On the walls there's blackboards and posters. There are lots of plants in the room. Many experiments are in the process of being incomplete, but Shellington is found in the Lab most of the time when the Octo-Alert sounds.
