The Octo-Alert is a tool used to call the Octonauts. When sounded, a cutscene plays of four (eight in the books) of the Octonauts getting ready. More often than not, the Octonauts sound the Octo-Alert, but in The Octonauts and the Very Vegimal Christmas, Tunip sounds the Octo-Alert, aka. the Vegimal-Alert. In the Enemy Anemones, the Octo-Alert is sounded by a glob of pudding after one of Tunip's cooking sessions goes awry.
Above and Beyond used the original series cutscene template in the very first episode, but since The Land of Fire and Ice, a new template was made and used in every following episode. The new template features numerous copies of the Octonauts' logo on every continent of the globe, which then zooms in to the Octo-Agent or Octonaut on the moment's focus.
Location[]
There are multiple Octo-Alert buttons in the Octopod, however, the one used most often is the large one in the HQ. Other locations of the Octo-Alert include the small screens near the doors in the Sick Bay, Library, and Lab, the Launch Bay, and Captain Barnacles' Octo-Compass.
