Octo-Satellite seen orbiting Earth
Zoomed out shot of the satellite
The Octo-Satellite is a satellite that the Octonauts have, orbiting the Earth. It was first shown in The Great Barrier Reef, and made another appearance in The Solar Storm, where it was revealed that it allows and enables communication between the Octonauts & Octo-Agents.
In addition to providing quick communication, the Octo-Satellite also provides the Octonauts with digital maps, efficiently aiding their rescue missions. Because the satellite is in space, solar storms can affect it. Solar storms release tiny clouds of particles, that directly affect the satellite's panels and dish. When this happens, the communication systems stop working and the digital maps become unavailable to view.
The satellite is active at all times, as without it, forms of communication such as Octo-Alerts, have technical difficulties while going through. As a solar storm typically lasts a couple minutes to a hours, after it has subsided, the satellite automatically begins working again, requiring no extra assistance or tweaks.
Design[]
The satellite is a yellow and orange and has a cylindrical/partial cone main body shape. It has two panels attached on both sides, 4 landing legs on the bottom, 2 supposed LED cerulean eyes and a smiling "rubber" mouth. It also has a satellite dish on the top.
