Red Urchins are small creatures that can cause great destruction. They latch themselves on the roots of kelp, which causes them to detach from the ground and float to the top, thus, these small little spiky creatures can eliminate entire kelp forests in just a few days. One of their main predators are sea otters, which can eat even the largest ones. However, Shellington does not eat urchins because he is allergic to them.
