Sandy is a female sand cat who appeared in Above and Beyond Season 2: The Sand Cat. She is one of the smallest cats in the world who lives in the deserts of Northern Africa where she snatches a backpack from Kwazii and Calico Jack. They thought she was stealing their treasure, but all she wanted was the Kelp Cakes and Fish biscuits they saved for emergencies. Since there hardly any food in the desert, she buried all the snacks into secret places so she could save for later. As she takes them to her food hiding places, Kwazii and his Granddad noticed she left no pawprints behind her, because the fur on her paws keeps her from getting burned by the hot sand and sinking into it. Just then, a hungry sand viper approaches, and Sandy manages to dodge him until he gets too tired, despite losing one of her left whiskers. Understanding her abilities and the food hiding places only she can find, Calico Jack makes her an honorary pirate with a duty of protecting his treasure while giving her more food regularly. She even places the whisker she lost in with his treasure as a memory of the trio's adventure together.
She shares the same name with Sandy the Sea turtle.
