Sharchini is a deep purple-coloured vegimal. Sharchini is rarely seen, though he is seen in some of the few scenes where all of the Vegimals are together, like when all the Vegimals got sick or when Shellington told the story of when they were born. It's possible that he was removed in the TV series after a while.

He bears a similar appearance to Grouber, only smaller, and lighter purple, almost violet or indigo.

- Not much is known about Sharchini, however, it is possible more about him is in "The Octonauts" books than the "Octonauts" cartoon.
- He has a darker green belly than Grouber.
- Some fans mistake him for Grouber.
- It is unknown why he didn't come with the other Vegimals in the Gup-V. He possibly stayed to stay in charge of the Octopod.
- He was Yellow with tall Hair in the books, similar to Tunip. Its unknown why he was changed. Its most likely to save money.
- He is the 3rd Vegimal not to appear in Above and Beyond, The first two being Halibeet, and Pikato.
