The Arctic Orcas

In the Arctic Ocean, Captain Barnacles and Peso perform a medical checkup for their Orca friends. Barnacles plays his accordion as Peso accompanies him with the pod of Arctic Orcas. As the Captain and Peso traveled in the Gup-E, an iceberg out of nowhere catches them and traps them and the Gup on a giant, floating chunk of ice. Kwazii takes the Gup-C and plans to rescue them with the help of their Orca friends.

Synopsis[]

The Last Patient[]

Captain Barnacles and Peso are giving the last Orca his checkup (The one that raced Kwazii in the Orcas episode). Peso tells the Orca to open his mouth but he won't open because he is too shy. Peso tells Barnacles to play his accordion which helps the orca become less shy and open his mouth so Peso can do a checkup on him.

Initial Problem[]

After Peso is done, the orcas leave and he and Barnacles get into the Gup-E. However, multiple ice chunks are moving, causing Barnacles to lose control and crash the Gup-E into an iceberg. They send a message to the octopod, telling Kwazii to sound the octo-alert. Unfortunately, their gup finder was damaged in the crash and Barnacles and Peso are unable to be located so they send Kwazii in the Gup-C to find them. Just then, the iceberg the Gup-E was stuck in flips over so now its stuck above the water.

The Search and Reunion[]

Kwazii attempts to locate Barnacles and Peso but to no avail, Dashi tells him to keep looking. However, all he is seeing is moving icebergs which makes him dizzy. Suddenly, he hears a faint sound that sounds almost like Barnacles accordion music, he turns up the Gup-C's speaker and finds out that it wasn't barnacles but the orcas. Kwazii drives towards the orcas (which the blue orca instantly recognizes) and greets them, the orcas said that they left Barnacles and Peso a little while ago. However, they never made it back to the octopod. After explaining the incident with the orcas, they start searching for Barnacles and Peso again. And meanwhile, Barnacles and Peso are climbing the iceberg to get to the Gup-E

Spy Hopping[]

The orcas and Kwazii couldn't find the two below the surface so one orca suggests spy hopping. First the orcas do it and then Kwazii does it with the Gup-C. Kwazii uses his spyglass and spots Barnacles and Peso right in time. Suddenly, the iceberg starts to break and the two fall off the iceberg. Fortunately, Kwazii rescues them with the Gup-C.

Returning Home[]

The three Octonauts along with their orca friends are reunited but the Gup-E is still stuck in the ice, so the orcas use a tactic called "ice tipping" where they ram the iceberg in order to tip it and allow the Gup-E to slide down. After a few hits, the Gup-E falls into the water. However, they can't risk hitting another iceberg again so Barnacles asks the orcas to guide them home. While Peso is driving the Gup-E, Barnacles plays the accordion to make the trip a bit more fun.
