As Kwazii was riding the Gup-B through the ocean, a pod of dolphins appear. When the Gup-B rides between a mother and her baby, the Baby Dolphin gets caught in the Gup-B's slipstream by mistake. The Baby Dolphin follows Kwazii into the Octopod and instantly bonds with him. While Kwazii babysits the baby, the rest of the crew leaves to find the mother using a recording of his specific whistle. Once the two dolphins reunite, the baby gives Kwazii the fetching shell to remember him by.

Plot[]
Kwazii is Bored[]
Tweak and the Vegimals are harvesting carrots in the Garden pod calmly, until Kwazii comes swinging on a vine from behind them, causing them to duck out of the way. He comes down and pulls out a carrot, exclaiming that the vines are perfect for swinging on, and Tweak should try it. She declines and says she's happy just pulling up carrots. Kwazii expresses disappointment before taking the Octo-Chute down to the launch bay, where Captain Barnacles is located. Kwazii tells him that he's going to take the Gup-B out for a spin, "to practice his driving skills". Barnacles opens the octo-hatch for him and laughs. Kwazii jumps into the Gup-B and zooms out of the Octopod. He does a loopty-loop, quickly finding a pod of dolphins. He does a few tricks around the dolphins before deciding to return to the Octopod, but had accidentally caught a baby dolphin in his slipstream on the way.
The Baby Dolphin[]
Captain Barnacles and Tweak are in the launchbay. Tweak mentions on how Kwazii had brought back a friend. Kwazii looks back to see the baby dolphin, and says that the baby needs its mother. They sound the Octo-Alert. Peso asks how the dolphin lost his mother. Kwazii says that he was driving the Gup-B but the dolphin followed him inside the Octopod for some reason. Shellington explains how the dolphin might have gotten caught up in the Gup-B's slipstream. Kwazii says sorry to the baby dolphin and wonders why the dolphin kept whistling in a specific way. Shellington then explains how dolphins know each other by their whistle and that mothers know their baby's whistle. Barnacles realises that they can use the baby's whistle to find its mother and asks Tweak to get the microphone and recorder. But when they try to record the whistle, the dolphin swims away. Barnacles finds that the dolphin likes Kwazii and gives him the task of babysitting the dolphin after recording its whistle. Barnacles, Peso, Dashi and Shellington leave to find the baby dolphin's mother, leaving Kwazii with the dolphin.
Kwazii is Bored Again[]
Kwazii feels bored and goes with the baby dolphin to play. The dolphin finds a small shell and Kwazii realises that it wants to play fetch. He throws the shell and the dolphin returns the shell back to his paw. Kwazii remarks how the dolphin was fast and throws the shell again. This time, the dolphin swims around a rock archway, but a lobster seems to be protecting the shell. He tells the lobster to go away. They decide to play a different game and race to the other side of the rocks
Finding the Mother[]
Barnacles and Peso are in the Gup-A driving through a reef, when they spot a pod of dolphins. Barnacles plays the whistle and asks them if they had heard it before. One of the dolphins responds saying that they haven't, but they mentioned that there was another pod of dolphins another way and Barnacles thanks them. Meanwhile, Dashi and Shellington play the same whistle to another pod of dolphins. One dolphins replied saying they hadn't heard the whistle before. Dashi and Shellington sigh. But the dolphin added that there was a frantic dolphin looking for her baby on the other side of the reef. They both contact Barnacles and Peso mentioning that they had a lead on the mother dolphin. They reach the other side and find a dolphin worriedly whistling something. They play the baby's whistle ask her if it was the whistle of her baby. She joyfully replies yes and asks them if they know where he was. Barnacles tells her that they will take her to him and to follow their slipstream. Barnacles contacts Kwazii to tell him that they had found the mother.
Where is the Baby Dolphin?[]
Kwazii and the dolphin do a small loopty-loop and Kwazii compliments the dolphin and they do a bigger loop around the rock archway. One of its pillars spilts Kwazii and the baby dolphin. Kwazii goes through the archway while the dolphin decides to hide behind the pillar. Kwazii discovers that the dolphin is missing and frantically starts to search for him. Barnacles contacts Kwazii and informs him that they had found the mother. Kwazii lies and tells Barnacles that the dolphin will be waiting with him right there. Barnacles ends the call. We see the baby dolphin caught up in a sharks slipstream. The shark turns around and tries to eat the baby dolphin. Kwazii pushes the dolphin away and rides it into a place behind a rock in one of the rock's pillars. The shark swims away and Kwazii tell the dolphin to not swim off and to stay close to him.
Reunited[]
The Gup-A's propeller and the mother's whistling could be heard. The baby dolphin swims up to the mother and swirls around her a couple of times. The mother thanks Kwazii for keeping her baby safe. The baby swims up to Kwazii and Kwazii hugs the dolphin. The dolphins swims to the ground and gives Kwazii the small shell that they had been playing fetch with. Kwazii asked if it was for him, and the dolphin nods. The two dolphins swim away, and Barnacles commended the Octonauts, highlighting Kwazii.
A Beautiful Treasure[]
Kwazii is now in his room, staring at the small shell in his paw for a little bit. He walks over to his treasure chest and carefully places the shell inside, saying aloud:
"It belongs with me other treasures. I'll remember you always matey."
He then smiles, and looks out the window of the Octopod.

- During the final scene in Kwazii's room, it has the wallpaper from Barnacles' room.
- Towards the beginning of the episode, when the Gup-B left the Octopod, nobody opened the Octo-Hatch.
- When Barnacles realises they can record the dolphin's whistle to help find his mother, the camera pans out and Professor Inkling seems to be missing, but in the next scene, he reappears.
