"The Octonauts and the Bamboo Rescue" is the thirteenth episode of the Above & Beyond spin-off series' first season.
Barnacles' desperation to help the crew with their missions comes to ahead when Min needs help relocating a giant panda to a new bamboo forest. Although, Barnacles’ need to help might end up getting in the way, especially when it leads to them encountering another panda who interferes with the relocation.

- The characters paired up for this mission are Captain Barnacles and Min.
- For unknown reasons, this is currently the only A&B that has not aired in China. Its place was taken by The Cold Snap, a S2 episode in the English release. Additionally, anything featuring giant pandas in the series has been edited out from Chinese airings. Currently, there has been no confirmation on why the episode was removed. While unlikely, it could possibly be due to how giant pandas were depicted in the episode, as they're shown to be greedy, grumpy, and quite aggressive. It’s likely Chinese officials were concerned this would damage the portrayal of pandas in the country, as there they’re a symbol of peace, thus leading to the episode and all mentions of giant pandas being edited out of the serie's Chinese airings.
