”The Octonauts and the Cold Snap” is the fifth episode of the Above & Beyond spin-off series' second season.
Ranger Marsh wakes up to find the Everglades has been struck by a cold wave. With numerous creatures facing severe problems following the wave, Marsh contacts the Octonauts to help sort things out.

- The characters paired up for this mission are Peso, Shellington, Dashi, Tweak, and Ranger Marsh.
- In China, this episode premiered as part of Above & Beyond Season 1 in place of The Bamboo Rescue back in July 2021 (two months before the series premiered on Netflix). Due to this, it causes continuity issues, as Marsh is shown to still not be adjusted to the Gup-K, even though he started to like it in The Nine Banded Armadillo.
- This is the first episode to introduce a red deer doe (next came Rowan from The Missing Lake).
