Plot[]

Seaweed Report[]

Captain Barnacles asks Kwazii and Peso if they have had any luck finding seaweed samples for Shellington. Kwazii replies back positively saying that they must have found every color of seaweed there is. Shellington then says that he cannot wait to study the seaweed under the microscope; Captain Barnacles signs out.

Speed It![]

Kwazii asks Peso if they should go a "wee-bit" faster; Peso agrees saying that they can go a little faster, only ending up getting seaweed in the Gup-E's propellers. After they crash, they realize that the Gup's radio is broken and their helmet's radio can't reach out to the Octopod since the Gup and the two far-from-home Octonauts are too far away. Kwazii doesn't seem too worried about this, only replying back saying that they should get out and take a look around the Gup to see the problem.

Pull![]

The two Octonauts realize that the seaweed was the trouble. They try pulling it out, only ending up getting one strand out, while the Gup-E falls into the deep, dark cliff near the "Gupless" Octonauts. Kwazii suggests that he goes down into the dark rock face to retrieve the Gup-Finder off the Gup that will help them both contact Captain Barnacles to let him know where they are, so Barnacles can come rescue them.

Success! But Wait, No![]

Yeow! Kwazii returns with the Gup-Finder...only ending up with a fish snatching it from Kwazii's paw! "Come back, you scurvy dog!" Yells Kwazii in vain. The two Octonauts swim after it, only at the end, they fail. They then go up to the surface, with land up ahead; they swim towards it. Back at the Octopod, Dashi and Captain Barnacles are worried, since Kwazii and Peso should be back by now. Dashi tries to contact Kwazii and Peso, realizing that the two Octonauts' radio isn't working. Dashi connects the Octopod to the Gup-E's Gup-Finder, and Barnacles and her find out that the Gup-E is heading the opposite direction from the Octopod...though Kwazii and Peso said they would be heading back to the Octopod. Sound the Octo-Alert!

Mystery of the Missing Octonauts[]

"...And the Gup-Finder shows that the Gup-E is going away from the Octopod." Captain Barnacles concludes. "The Gup-A is ready, Cap." Says Tweak. Barnacles hops in and Tweak opens the Octo-Hatch... The mission starts!

Meanwhile, Kwazii and Peso are on the island, with Peso wondering aloud if someone is possibly out there that could help them. "'Doesn't look like it," replies Kwazii. Then... Pop! A fish's head pops out of the water. "Visitors!" Laughs the fish, and swims up to the island and walks toward the two lost-from-sea Octonauts. "Hello and welcome!" Greets the fish. Kwazii and Peso are perplexed. "Down here, my friends, down here!" Waves the fish. The two Octonauts look down, speechless. "Welcome to the island where the breeze is cool, the sand is warm!" The fish strokes the sand. "And a fish can WALK!?" Adds the stunned and shocked Kwazii. "Well spotted, my friends," says the fish, sitting upright, "most fish can't walk on land. I'm not most fish, I'm a combtooth blenny. You can call me Blenny for short! Haha! Who're you?" "We're the Octonauts." Says Peso. "I'm Peso..." "and I'm Kwazii!" Puts in Kwazii. "We need to get back to the Octopod as soon as possible." Finishes Peso. "Too bad you can't stay for a while, I was just getting warmed up! See you around!" Says Blenny, and crawls off on his flippers. Peso realizes that it could take a long time for Captain Barnacles to find them here, if he can find them at all. "Don't worry, me hearty, I learned how to get off a desert island back in me pirate days! All we have to do is build a raft, and sail away!" Kwazii encourages Peso. "Let's do it!" Says a courageous Peso.

Captain Barnacle's Worry[]

"...I've almost caught up with them." Reports Barnacles, then grumbles. "Where's the Gup-E?" The thief (fish) swims up to the Gup-A wielding the Gup-Finder from the Gup-E. Realization hits Barnacles. The Gup-E could be anywhere!

Back at the island... "Time to set sail!" Announces a successful Kwazii. Peso nods. Blenny comes toward them, saying a goodbye to the leaving pair. Things start out nice, but then...the raft starts sinking! The two Octonauts dive into the water, panting for air while they swim back to Blenny's island. "Our raft is gone," started Kwazii. "This is..." "a disaster." Finishes a gloomy Peso. "Don't worry, Peso, I'll think of something else," comforts Kwazii. "Wait, I have an idea!" Peso says, piping up a good mood again. "Maybe we could send a message for help!" Kwazii disagrees, saying that they have no radio, no Gup-Finder, nothing. Peso, on the other flipper, replies back saying that all they need is a messenger who can send a message to the Octopod. He calls to Blenny, asking the fish to send a message to the Octopod telling where they are. Blenny replies back saying that he would love to... but combtooth blennies cannot go in deep water, only shallow. Peso asks if Blenny could just swim to someone else to tell them the problem, then that creature would deliver the message to the Octopod. Blenny agrees, and wades into the water. Kwazii then says, "see? I told you I'd think of something," though truly it was Peso that thought of the idea.

Messenger's Mission[]

Blenny delivers the message to the "blue fish", but the fish replies back saying that she (possibly) cannot swim too deep, but can pass the message to other animals that can. The fish delivers it to a giant squid, though the names are different from the real ones; the same happens to the giant squid when he asks a fellow anglerfish to deliver the message. The anglerfish meets up to Captain Barnacles, and Barnacles realizes that he's talking about Octonauts when he says "Octogans". He then asks the anglerfish to lead him to the "Octogans", but the anglerfish says that he doesn't know the location of the two lost Octonauts, so he can ask the giant squid. The giant squid leads the way to the "blue fish", and the fish leads the way to Kwazii and Peso!

Greetings Again![]

...Captain Barnacles arrives! It turns out that Kwazii and Peso didn't have to spend the night on the island. Barnacles says that he's looking for Octogans with the names Hay and Presto. Presto (Peso) and Hay (Kwazii) look confused, and Blenny explains that the message got a little mixed up. Kwazii and Peso then get in the Gup-A, and all was well.
