Summary[]
The Octonauts follow a group of emperor penguin mothers returning to their families. One of the penguins gets injured, so the Octonauts carry her in the Gup-S. However, the Gup falls into an ice chasm, the Octo-Compass is frozen over, and the Octonauts are left without radio connection or a map. So they must carry the injured penguin through ice and snow to return her to her family as she uses her own sense of direction to guide them back to the colony.

Trivia[]
- This was the second time Tweak showed her good sense of hearing, just like Professor Natquik.
- This was also the first time in the entire show to have an incomplete Octo-Alert sequence, due to Captain Barnacles' Octo-Compass freezing.
- Professor Inkling and Barrot made cameos following it. Inkling has only one line in this episode which is "That's odd, for a second I've thought I heard an Octo-Alert.".
- This is the third episode to have "Penguin" in the title, and the third episode to involve a different type of penguin.
- Tweak faints when she learns what happened to the Gup-S.
- The Gup-S periscope is missing for most of the episode.
