”The Octonauts and the Monitor Lizards” is the fifteenth episode of the Above & Beyond spin-off series' second season.
With Ranger Marsh out checking up on the Everglade's invasive species, who he’d return back to their original homes with the help of the Octonauts, he ultimately arrives in South America to check on the suckermouth catfish Spiny Sue. There, he tells her about how he needed to enlist the help of Shellington to reunite the troublemaking monitor lizard brothers; Ronnie, Donnie and Lonnie.

- This episode is mostly a flashback, with the events of the episode being recounted to Spiny Sue by Marsh.
- This episode mainly involves Ranger Marsh revisiting the Invasive Species from The Great Swamp Search. Those being Spiny Sue, and Ronnie, Donnie & Lonnie.
- The Burmese Python mother was the only invasive species who did not return in this episode. Although her picture is seen checked off on Marsh's clipboard, which indicates she and her babies are doing ok in their old home.
- This episode shows Ranger Marsh outside of the Everglades for the first time in the series.
- The water dikkop birds are also known as the thick-knee birds, and they are known to have a symbiotic relationship with Crocodiles. This is why the two in the episode were protecting Katie’s eggs from Donnie.
