”The Octonauts and the Mystery Island” is the twenty-third episode of the Above & Beyond spin-off series' second season.
After the Gup-R is hit by a tsunami wave, Kwazii, Calico Jack and Pete find themselves washed ashore on Socotra Island, one of the most mysterious islands in the world. With no way to contact the Octonauts, the cats need to survive on the island, whilst Pete flies off with Calico Jack’s octo-watch in order to get a connection and call for help. As he does so, the pair help two Chameleons save their eggs from an Egyptian Vulture.

Trivia[]
- The characters paired up for this mission are Kwazii and Calico Jack.
- The title for this episode, is the same one that was used as a placeholder for The Skeleton Coast Adventure
- The Chameleon’s bring up the misconception, on how they change colour to hide from predators. Instead they mention how they do it to express their feelings to one another or if their either hot or cold.
- This episode was previously mistaken as a fanmade Octonauts episode on IMDB, and even a different Octonauts series entirely according to Netflix in 2021. The same occurrences happened with The Arabian Camels.
