The Oarfish is the thirty-second episode of Season 1 of Octonauts.
Synopsis[]
Dashi snaps a picture of what appears to be a sea serpent, but the truth is stranger than fiction when it turns out to be an awesomely long oarfish.
Plot[]
Pinto visits the Octopod once again to spend time with his big brother. The Octonauts travel to an unknown area where Dashi saw a tail of a mysterious creature and Kwazii thinks it's a "Nackerwack". Dashi sends a picture of the tail to Professor Inkling, who spots it right before Pinto leaves the library. During a call from Pinto, the radio randomly shuts off. When Pinto finds the creature, they discovered that it followed them back to the Octopod. Pinto, Peso and Professor Inkling discover that it's an oarfish, the longest fish in the sea. It is discovered that oarfish are very shy and very rare, though Pinto and Peso investigated why he was crying. Turns out he needed Peso's help to treat his sore throat.
Creature Report[]
Trivia[]
- This is the first appearance of Peso and Pinto's mother and the second appearance of Pinto.
- In this episode, Pinto sounds the Octo-Alert and says "Octonauts, to your stations.", a reference to the intro, as Barnacles says the exact same thing.
- Tweak can be seen working on the Gup-X blueprints during the Octo Alert scene. This would foreshadow the Gup-X's debut in the series, in "The Great Christmas Rescue".
