”The Octonauts and the Pygmy Sloths” is the tenth episode of the Above & Beyond spin-off series' second season.
While giving the Vegimals pirate training, Kwazii and Calico Jack encounter what they believe to be 'shaggy sea apes.' However these "apes" turn out to actually be a troop of pygmy sloths. Now, it is up to them to help reunite an adrift baby sloth and his mother, although they’ll have to deal with a hungry jaguar before they can do that.

- The characters paired up for this mission are Kwazii, Calico Jack, Tunip and the Vegimals. Making it the second episode after The Harlequin Duck (which featured Tracker), to have another character other than Kwazii on a mission with Calico Jack.
- There appears to have been some sort of continuity error, due to the episode placements on Netflix, as a line Kwazii says at the start of this episode is supposed to be a callback to The Sand Cat, however the aforementioned episode is placed as the last of A&B season 2.
- This is the second episode after The Pink Glacier, in which Peso is given no lines. Coincidentally, both episodes star Kwazii.
