”The Octonauts and the Rainforest Rescue” is the seventeenth episode of the Above & Beyond spin-off series' second season. It premiered on April 18th, 2022 before it appeared on Netflix, via the Netflix Jr. Youtube Channel. It is a 23-minute special.
The Octonauts must come together to help Min return a baby harpy eagle to its nest, all the while helping other creatures of the Amazon Rainforest with their own issues. But things quickly come to ahead when Inkling ends up in the area of a troop of howler monkeys...

- This episode marks the third time the crew visits the Amazon.
- Unlike Paolo, who appears later on in the special, Adriana does not appear again, after the Jaguar attacks Min and Junior.
- The Amazon rainforest is modeled different from the one in Amazon Adventure. With much taller trees, and more plants, and longer rivers.
- This is the second episode to introduce a hungry Jaguar since The Pygmy Sloths. However, unlike the Jaguar seen in The Pygmy Sloths, the Jaguar seen in this episode is not prominent throughout the episode. Plus, this jaguar was a male instead of a female.
