”The Octonauts and the Red Fox” is the ninth episode of the Above & Beyond spin-off series' second season.
When returning to his family home in Siberia, Professor Natquik discovers that a red fox and his three kits had moved in whilst he was away. Natquik now has to learn to get along with his uninvited guests, while the Octonauts free them from an avalanche that has trapped them all inside.

- The characters paired up for this mission are Captain Barnacles, Shellington, Dashi, and Professor Natquik.
- At first, Natquik thinks the Red Fox moved into his den to make a mess of everything, but once he sees how the fox was a papa with three kits, he starts to feel less angry understanding why he wouldn't leave and happily allows them to stay in his family home.
- The red fox family are the second type of fox introduced in the series, with the first being an Arctic fox.
- At the end of the episode, the Penguins who appeared at the start of the episode, are shown trashing the Gup-I, much to Natquik's dismay.
