Peso is ready to venture into the Midnight Zone as a training exercise while Kwazii begs to go too; Peso learns that he must go alone, but as he travels in the Gup-E, he hears a moan in a Romanian accent. It is a vampire squid. The others try to contact Peso, but his radio doesn't work when in the Midnight Zone. It seems then as if Peso was under attack, so Kwazii goes down, but then he is gone, too. Captain Barnacles disappears too, though all of them return.

- Moral: When someone is shy, approach them gently.
- When Kwazii talks to Peso about the midnight zone in the Launch Bay, Peso's deep sea suit and helmet collar disappear.
