The Yeti Crab is the eighth episode of Season 3 of Octonauts.
Summary[]
As Tweak inspects the Gup-X deep down in the Midnight zone, a yeti crab damages the ship and endangers itself and the Octonauts.
Plot[]
Today is the day of the Gup X's inspection, and Tweak is excited (unlike Kwazii, who later changes his opinion after learning it would take place in the midnight zone.) Captain Barnacles, Kwazii, Peso and Tweak all get into the Gup X, while the others would stay on the Octopod. When they would reach the entrance into the trench, Tweak would tell Barnacles to test out the suction cup tyre treads.
After activating the suction cups, they would drive down the wall of the trench to get to the bottom and Tweak would tell Barnacles to activate the back-up headlights un-knowing that there was a hydrothermal vent right in-front of them. After managing to swerve around the vent, The crew spot a group of vents which would be a perfect time to test out the Gup-Cam. After taking a picture and sending it to Dashi, a very furry creature crawls up the outer-shell of the Gup without the crew noticing. Tweak decides that they should test the Glider, and Octo-Ski next. After the Glider launches Tweak sees something white and furry crawling up the side of the Gup, but she couldn't see what it was so she just presumes her mind is playing tricks on her. After completing the inspection the lights suddenly turn off and something crab-like crawls out from inside and grabs Kwazii's tail, causing Kwazii to throw the creature across the room and onto the dashboard. The creature says he is a Yeti Crab and his name is Klaus, and Barnacles starts driving Klaus home, but the brakes suddenly go out and Barnacles is unable to stop the ship and Klaus explains that he may of snipped some things in there.' Tweak explains that the only way they can access the main control panel is from the outside, so her and Kwazii crawl out onto the roof and manage to get into the main control panel. After Tweak is unable to reach the broken wire, Klaus goes back there and after Tweak tells him where the wire is he connects it and Barnacles is able to steer out of the way of the hydrothermal vent, and save the Gup X. They manage to get Klaus home to his hydrothermal vent, just in time for his dinner.
